The McDonald's suckling ad
Categories: Eating & nutrition, Media
The word is that the image to the right is indeed a real ad used in Europe for McDonald's restaurants. Cute baby, funny angle, but some are saying it might be sending the wrong message by marketing junk food to kids. Is it so bad that kids may think, "if it's good enough for that baby, it's good enough for me?" It's not like he's sucking on a cigarette or a bottle of Jack.

I think the "wrong" message the ad conveys is that it's o.k. to feed an infant McDonald's. And I guarantee the madison ave. types behind it thought a suckling baby would target moms, not kids, so the outrage seems misguided.

UGH!!! For me, it's just as bad as having the baby sucking on a cigarette or a bottle of Jack Daniels. Totally gross.
